Kyoshi Gary Maas 7th Dan Ju-Jitsu 12th Feb 2018
Today was a little different in that we had a guest instructor, Kyoshi Gary Maas, a 7th Dan Ju-Jitsu Instructor with over 40 years experience in Ju-Jitsu, teach at Seishin Ju-Jitsu.
The world of Martial Arts is a small one in that many of us know one another, or our paths may have crossed at some point in our training. The arts also tend to cross over quite easily as many have had shared origins.
In mutual respect, Instructors are often invited by one another (whether they study the same art or something different), to come on the mat and share some of that wealth of knowledge and experience, in a fun-filled and relaxed environment for all.
These are golden opportunities for students and instructors alike to feel, learn and experience other arts or different visions on the same art, to expand horizons, make acquaintances and grow spiritually and as a martial artist.
