Club Visit - Sifu Adrian Brown
Quan Shu Kung Fu Feb 2020
On Monday, 17th February 2020, we were delighted to welcome Sifu Adrian Brown from Quan Shu Kung Fu, along with his students, to Seishin Ju-Jitsu for another enjoyable interclub get-together.

The evening gave our students the opportunity to step outside their usual Ju-Jitsu training and experience some different ideas, movements and principles from the world of Kung Fu.
“Last night I reciprocated the teaching for John Michell of Seishin Ju-Jitsu. I coached some close-range hand techniques and conditioning drills which, even though were out of their normal training regime, were picked up very well by all.
Thanks for the invite guys! Much respect to you all. A great bunch of people!”
These shared sessions are always great fun, as they allow students to explore another martial art in a friendly, relaxed and respectful environment.

Training with people from other clubs and systems is a valuable experience for any martial artist. Although different arts may use different terminology, movements or training methods, there are often many shared principles beneath the surface. Timing, distance, balance, awareness, control and confidence are all important across martial arts, and evenings like this help students appreciate those connections.
We look forward to more interclub training sessions in the future.
