International WBKF Seminar

In April 2023, members of Seishin Ju-Jitsu were delighted to attend the annual WBKF England Course, held in Enfield and organised by WBKF England Ambassador Shihan Gary Maas, 8th Dan Ju-Jitsu. In attendance was Soke Joachim Peters 10th Dan
With the venue being right on our doorstep, it was a fantastic opportunity for our students and instructors to train alongside martial artists from a wide range of disciplines.

The weekend seminar welcomed participants of all grades and experience levels, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone could learn, improve and enjoy training together. Throughout the course, experienced instructors shared their knowledge across several martial arts, including Japanese Ju-Jitsu, Karate, Krav Maga, Judo and other self-defence systems.
This variety gave everyone the chance to explore different techniques, teaching styles and practical applications, while gaining a greater appreciation of the principles shared across many martial arts.
One of the greatest strengths of WBKF seminars is the opportunity to learn directly from senior instructors with many years of experience. Each session encouraged students to develop better timing, balance, control and technical understanding, while reinforcing the importance of respect, discipline and continuous learning.
Beyond the technical instruction, the seminar was also a great chance to meet martial artists from different clubs, exchange ideas and build lasting friendships.
Our sincere thanks go to Shihan Gary Maas for once again organising such a well-run and enjoyable weekend. We also thank all of the instructors, volunteers and students whose enthusiasm helped make the event such a success.
