Brown Belt Grading

Sui 2022

We are extremely proud to announce that Sui was awarded his Brown Belt in November 2022 after a strong, committed and very well-earned grading at Seishin Ju-Jitsu.

Sui has worked incredibly hard to reach this important stage in his martial arts journey. His attitude has always been excellent: uncomplaining, courteous, attentive and fully committed to his training. With 100% attendance and a consistently respectful approach on the mat, he has shown exactly what dedication and perseverance can achieve.

During the grading, Sui demonstrated a very high standard across his Brown Belt syllabus.

His techniques were accurate, controlled and confident, showing both understanding and maturity in his Ju-Jitsu. Just as importantly, his knowledge of the back syllabus was also excellent, proving that he has continued to build on everything learned from previous grades.

Brown Belt is a significant milestone. It requires stamina, technical ability, focus and a willingness to keep pushing forward even when training becomes more demanding. Sui showed all of these qualities throughout the grading. His hard work was clear to everyone watching, and the result was thoroughly deserved.

We would also like to thank Sensei Paul for his excellent uke-ing. Without a strong and supportive uke, a grading of this level simply could not take place. Thanks also go to everyone who attended, supported Sui and celebrated this achievement with us.

Well done, Sui. This Brown Belt was well-earned and well-deserved. Keep up the hard work. Onwards and upwards!
