Budo Kai Do India
Visit 20th Dec 2021
Our final class of 2021 was made even more memorable as we welcomed Seishin Ju-Jitsu students, our long-time friend Shihan Gary Maas 8th Dan Ju-Jitsu, and a group of visiting martial artists from Budo Kai Do India for an enjoyable informal club get-together.
The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate another year of training while strengthening the friendships that exist within the wider martial arts community. Although 2021 had presented many challenges for clubs around the world, it was fantastic to finish the year by welcoming visitors from overseas and sharing our passion for traditional Ju-Jitsu in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Throughout the evening, students of all grades enjoyed working together, sharing ideas and practising a selection of practical Ju-Jitsu techniques. The emphasis was not on intensive training, but on having fun, learning from one another and enjoying the opportunity to exchange knowledge with fellow martial artists from different backgrounds and cultures.
Training sessions such as these are a reminder that martial arts are about far more than grades and techniques. They bring together people from around the world who share the same values of respect, discipline, humility and continuous learning. Regardless of language or nationality, everyone can communicate through movement, cooperation and a shared love of traditional martial arts.
Having Shihan Gary Maas join us once again made the evening even more special. His wealth of experience, friendly approach and willingness to share knowledge have always made him a welcome guest at Seishin Ju-Jitsu, and our students always appreciate the opportunity to train alongside such a respected martial artist.
Our visitors from Budo Kai Do India embraced the evening with enthusiasm, and it was a pleasure to exchange ideas, demonstrate techniques and spend time together on the mat. Events like this help strengthen the international martial arts community and create friendships that extend well beyond the dojo.
As the final class of the year drew to a close, everyone reflected on what had been an enjoyable and uplifting evening. It was the perfect way to end 2021 - with smiles, laughter, great training and good company. The evening reinforced the importance of keeping an open mind, learning from others and building friendships through the practice of Budo.
Our sincere thanks go to Shihan Gary Maas, our friends from Budo Kai Do India, and everyone who attended and helped make our final training session of the year such a memorable occasion.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we look forward to welcoming old and new friends back onto the mats in 2022 for more training, friendship and shared experiences.
